These are the values which have been imbibed within an individual on reinforced externally that help the individual to distinguish between right and wrong and act accordingly.

There can be several sources of ethics like religion,organisational, culture ,legal, obligations etc.

  • Fairness in the recruitment and selection process means recruiting the deserving candidate regardless of age, color, race, national ,origin ,religion etc.
  • Equal pay for equal work.
  • Fair treatment to all the employees regardless of employee status of rank.
  • Giving safety to the employees.


Unethical practices in HR

  • Biased attitude in selection, promotion,transfer etc.
  • Exploiting cheap labour market.
  • Child labour.
  • Longer working hours.
  • Putting more stress on employees for increasing the productivity .
  • Creating split in union leaders.

  • Making delays in paying wages incentive bonus to employees.
  • Taking private finance only from those who are ready to do personal favour to finance department head.
  • Quick release of payments to known parties and delaying payments of others.

  • Wrong and misleading advertisements.
  • Sealing dark side and side effects of product and of services.
  • False claims of the product.
